What's in our Water:
Speakers will discuss aspects of river water that most people never consider.
Chemicals enter the river in many forms—pharmaceuticals, scents from personal-care products, caffeine, hormones, as well as raw sewage—and all persist. Keynote speaker Tyrone Hayes, a developmental endocrinologist from University of California, Berkeley, will explain how these affect the daily lives of humans and the biota of the river.

This conference will be of interest to health and environmental scientists, community planners and concerned individuals along the river.

Vassar College Student Building
124 Raymond Ave
